EURO 2012 SEEDINGS ANNOUNCED

UEFA today announced the seedings for Euro 2012.

As expected, Spain & Holland top the seedings with Spain the current European and World Cup winners.

Holland are also there as losing World Cup finalists last year to Spain.

Co-hosts: Poland and the Ukraine also join the first-ranked teams.


England have to be content with being second seeds along with Germany, Italy and Russia.


Meanwhile, Ireland are in Group four having failed up until now to qualify for a major Finals event since the 2002 World Cup in South Korea & Japan.

All eyes are now being focused on Friday, Dec 2nd when the groups will be announced.

Lets hope Ireland avoid Spain, Portugal, Croatia and Germany, its going to be a tough tournament but its great to be there again.
