With qualification for the Euro's secured, Trapattoni's Ireland have announced their fixture schedule for the World Cup to be held in Brazil in 2014.
Ireland begin their campaign against lowly Kazakhstan in far-flung Eastern-Europe in September, followed by a home-game against Group favourites, Germany in October.
Ireland Manager Giovanni Trapattoni said: "This is a good fixture schedule for us with a good balance to the matches."
Realistically, Germany start as favourites to win Group C with Ireland, Sweden and Austria fighting it out over second-place.
