TRAPATTONI THREATENS TO WALK AWAY

Ireland Manager Giovanni Trapattoni has threatened to walk-away from the Ireland set-up even if we beat Estonia in the Euro play-offs, next month.

It is believed that the spritely 72 year-old manager of the Republic's team is not happy with the FAI's reluctance to offer him a new contract despite the fact that Ireland have now got a great chance of gettting through the play-offs by beating Estonia next month:
"Yes, I could go without a new contract...We can either go to the finals and say our job is done."
What does that mean, is it that Trap is annoyed with the FAI and John Delaney in particuler in not awarding Trapattoni and Marco Tardelli new contracts.

Despite the dire football, I really hope that the impish Italian is kept on for two more years at least, he is a winner.
